Homework does not bring back fond memories. Free Spirited Sweet and I would fight over getting the work done in time for us to get to church or what ever extra activity was planned for the night. She was tired. She couldn’t focus. The excuses were endless.
With homeschooling, the time crunch is removed. If she’s really interested in, let’s say, U.S. Presidents, she can spend hours doing the research because she wants to do it. The rest of her required work can be made up during the week at regular school hours.
Our evenings are free to pursue extra activities and bond as a family.
